Shout About Suffolk - Incubating and Nurturing Start-ups

shout about teamTwo of the Shout About Suffolk co-founders, Toby Durrant and Paddy Bishopp, both successful entrepreneurs will discuss how their journeys led them to set up ‘Shout About Suffolk’.

Both made mistakes in their entrepreneurial journey but, luckily, learnt fast. Their trials put them in a unique position to being able to work with other entrepreneurs to help keep them from making the same mistakes and to support their growth from concept through to self-sufficiency or next step investment.

This meeting is their story - and the story of Suffolk businesses and The Suffolk Business Start Up Lab, a facility that will house between six and eight start-up companies at any one time. The businesses will be supported through initial funding, in conjunction with mentoring and back office IT support.

This meeting will be held right on the premises, so you can see just what the ‘shouting’ is all about.

As a start-up yourself, or a long-established business, this is a meeting from which you will gain great insight - as well as showing your support and pride in the resiliance that marks out Suffolk businesses.

If you are coming from Norfolk, this could give plenty of food for thought for our neighbouring county!

And you will be treated to a special, elegant and unusual, buffet breakfast, catered by the outstanding Honey + Harvey.

Bookings close on 21st March. £15pp

All About Honey + Harvey Woodbridge

honeyandharvey 450x300Owner Harvey’s passion for food and hospitality has been lifelong: his father opened and ran a butchery and a bakery in Woodbridge while home was a farmhouse bed and breakfast.

His obsession with food grew while helping Pinney’s of Orford to expand. At the Suffolk fish smokehouse, restaurant and shop, Harvey loved meeting chefs and foodies who were so enthusiastic about treating the best ingredients with the utmost care and attention.

Feeling the same about coffee and tea, Harvey decided to open a coffee shop in Woodbridge serving artisan coffee and quality tea as well as breakfasts and lunches created from locally-sourced high-quality organic ingredients. For those looking for quick snacks or light bites, the counter would be stacked with artisan breads, cakes, savouries, pastries and other goodies, all freshly baked by chefs with the same dedication to good food…

The most passionate Suffolk chefs would be hired to create mouthwatering menus for the cafe's day-trade as well as private parties for those in the local community on the hunt for high quality fresh local service. State of the art facilities would be installed including custom designed La Marzocco Strada and FB80 machines teamed with Mythos One grinders, on-site slow smoking facilities and the latest kitchen equipment.
