OK, possibly, you didn’t want to know about GDPR (including what the letters actually stand for) but the reality is that you probably do need to know.
Our speaker Dave Baker, with his usual mix of wit and wisdom, will be delivering a timely presentation about GDPR: why you need to know about it, what you should be doing about it (if you haven’t already done so) and what is likely to happen if you just ignore it.
If you or your organisation fits into one of the categories below then you really need to attend, listen and learn:
Dave will be bringing along some handouts with useful tips and ideas about how best to conform to GDPR to help you along this windy road.
This one’s important. This one you won’t want to miss.
To add to the sense of occasion, the meeting will be held at the impeccable Wyken Vineyards, The Leaping Hare ... a definite 'des-res'.
Dave is a Director of PerformancePlus Partnership. He has a degree in computer engineering and over 30 years experience in the IT arena with companies such as British Telecom, CAP Gemini and f5 Networks.
Dave is a qualified business coach and he is also a qualified Lead Auditor for ISO27001, the International Standard for Data and Information Security whereby he helps organisations to improve their data and cyber security.
With the current level of bad publicity regarding major data breaches and the concerns over the new EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Dave is kept extremely busy!
Housed in a converted 14th century barn, the Leaping Hare restaurant, has been in the Good Food Guide for 20 consecutive years, as well as being a Bib Gourmand in the Michelin Guide. The restaurant serves a blend of modern and traditional European dishes, made with thoughtfully sourced ingredients.
In 2015 The Leaping Hare was included in the square meals 100 best restaurants in the UK.
After breakfast, if you have the time, it is well-worth exploring the delights of Wyken Vineyards - from the exotic (and not so exotic) wildlife to the delightful gardens, have a wander and remind yourself what life is all about.
Also make sure to have time to visit the Wyken shop which is a marvel in itself!
