Having already covered how you present yourself on video and in photographs, in our DIY self-help series, we come to the final piece of the puzzle … how you sound to others.
Jenna Cox, Managing Partner of Articulate HLC will be giving a mini-workshop on how to use your voice to convey the message/s you want to deliver.
This is not about accents, but about the way you communicate verbally; too often, we let ourselves down because our voices don’t serve us well. For example, you probably haven’t got a clue about how you sound to others. What’s in your head doesn’t necessarily relate to what comes out of your mouth. And that can be extremely unhelpful when you are representing your business.
In this mini-workshop, the aim is to help you get a better understanding of your voice and how to use it to deliver positive results - in public speaking, in a 30-second ‘elevator’ pitch, in conversation or in a telephone call. Your voice can be a powerful weapon in your business arsenal … if you value it, understand its power and treat it with respect.
Why Jenna Cox? Before building Articulate HLC as a branding/marketing/PR and design consultancy, for many years, Jenna was one of the 3 top female voice-overs in New York. In addition, she paid her dues as a columnist, spokesperson, delivering presentation counselling to senior execs and as a marketing consultant.
We hope you can join us.
